ENThe grave with the tools was discovered in the burial ground in Szwajcaria (Suvalkai region) during the Complex Yotvingian Expedition in July of 1961. There was the skeleton of a 25-30 years old man and there were tools next to his skull: a flint, a large knife, two parts of the smaller knives, a plunger, a blade and an iron axe. There were some agricultural tools next to his left knee: an iron coulter, an iron scythe with an ivory handle, a piece of the small iron knife, a piece of an iron ferrule and a piece of a thin iron plate. All of the archeological finds have been dated to the 3rd and 4th centuries. The author of the article describes the tools and compares them with archaeological finds in other parts of the country as well as in Europe.
