ENThis article was created for the characteristics of the role and functions of forests in the eighteenth-century Radzivill estates located in areas of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It is an attempt to answer the following questions: what products extracted from the forest and for what purpose, how Radzivills management of forests and who acted on their behalf control them? The extent to which forests were the place of aristocratic pastimes? The article is merely a contribution to research on a much broader issue, which was then magnate management system of forest resources. Such problem was recognized in relation to Radzivill goods, except for the royal administered by them.
