ENThe paper presents the latest results of investigation of the Late Iron Age female caps decorated with copper alloy links. These results were obtained during restoration of the cap found in a grave in Žviliai (Šilalė dist.) burial ground. The origin of the fibers, dyes and the composition of the alloys were identified. It was inferred that the mode of production has been tablet weaving and it was put into practice in the reconstruction of the cap. The author stresses the importance of small details and thorough analysis in drawing conclusions and decision making.
