Įtariamojo veido atpažinimo ypatumai : disertacija

LTNusikaltimą įvykdžiusio asmens nustatymas yra vienas iš svarbiausių sėkmingo nusikaltimų tyrimo veiksnių. Didelę reikšmę nusikaltėlių paieškai turi liudytojų pateikti įtariamųjų apibūdinimai ir jų sudaryti fotorobotai. Tyrėjai pripažįsta, kad veido apibūdinimo, sudaryto fotoroboto ir veido atpažinimo ryšių žinojimas gali padėti išvengti įvairių klaidų, mažinančių įtariamojo nustatymo ir nusikaltimų atskleidimo tikimybę. Tai pirmą kartą Lietuvoje atliktas tyrimas, kuriame nagrinėjami įtariamųjų veidų atpažinimo tikslumui darantys įtaką veiksniai bei atlikto tyrimo pagrindu pateiktos rekomendacijos specialistams, dirbantiems su liudytojais. Apklausiant tiriamuosius apie matytą vyro veidą buvo pritaikyta speciali tam parengta kognityvinio interviu procedūra, kurios efektyvumą atkuriant su veidu susijusią informaciją patvirtino atlikto tyrimo rezultatai. Iki šiol dažniausiai buvo tiriami atskirų veiksnių ir veido atpažinimo tikslumo ryšiai. Atsižvelgiant į tai, šiame darbe išnagrinėti ne tik įvairūs veiksniai, bet ir tų veiksnių sąveika.

ENRecognition of the face of a perpetrator of a crime is one of the most important factors in successful investigation of crimes. A major role in the search for the perpetrators is played by descriptions of the suspects given by witnesses and identikit pictures produced on the basis of the descriptions. Investigators acknowledge that an understanding of the interrelationship between descriptions of faces and identikit pictures can help avoid various mistakes that might reduce the likelihood of identifying the suspect and establishing culpability. This is the first study in Lithuania of factors influencing the precision of suspect's face recognition. On the basis of this research recommendations were made to specialists who work with witnesses. In experiments study subjects were asked about faces they had been shown using a special cognitive interview procedure. The efficacy of this procedure in retrieving information about the face was confirmed by the results of the study. Up until now research has focused mostly on the interrelationship between individual factors and the exactness of face recognition. Taking account of this, the study investigates not only various factors, but also the interaction of those factors.
