LTStraipsnyje yra nagrinėjama nuotraukų, kuriuos saugo Vilniaus krašto lenkai, problematika. Po trumpo Vilniaus krašto istorijos aprašymo, naudojantis literatūra buvo išsiaiškinta, kad daugelis daiktų, supančių žmones, turi ne vien materialinę vertę. Gyventojai saugo daug daiktų, kurie be naudojimo vertės, turi sentimentalią reikšmę. Tai gali būti perduodami iš kartos į kartą indai, baldai ar bižuterija. Bet saugomi taip pat daiktai, kurie realiai neturi jokios buitinės vertės, bet žmonės juos saugo dėl to, kad tai yra brangių jiems žmonių ar svarbių įvykių prisiminimai. Pagal nuotraukas, kuriuos rodė pašnekovai tyrimo Trakų apylinkėse metu bei iš jų pasakojim, buvo išskirtos trys nuotraukų grupės: asmenų, vietų bei įvykių. Pašnekovų pasakojimuose yra liečiama lenkų-lietuvių santykių problematika, bet taip pat Vilniaus krašto gyventojai pasakoja apie kasdienes jiems aktualias problemas. Straipsnyje yra atkreipiamas dėmesys į tai, kad žmonės saugo nuotraukas iš kelių gyvenimo tarpsnių, nuo gimimo iki mirties, o dauguma nuotraukų sukėlė pašnekovams senų laikų nostalgiją. Be to, žmonės stengėsi prisiminti nuotraukų įamžinimo aplinkybes ar žmonių, pavaizduotų nuotraukose, pavardes. Tolesnėje straipsnio dalyje rašoma apie tai, kad žmonės nuotraukoms, kaip ir visiems saugomiems daiktams, suteikia skirtingą vertę. Tai atsiskleidžia ne tik iš to, kaip tam tikri daiktai yra saugomi, bet ir iš žmonių reakcijas nuotraukų rodymo metu. Atkreipiamas dėmesys, kad kai kada nuotraukos sukelia prisiminus apie įvykius ar asmenis, kurie nėra susiję su konkrečia nuotrauka. Straipsnyje pabrėžiama, kad tokios asociacijos ir prisiminimai turi didelę reikšmę nagrinėjant nuotraukų vertės problematiką. Apibendrinimo dalyje buvo dar kartą akcentuota, kokią didelę svarbą žmogaus gyvenime turi nuotraukos.

ENThe article shows the issue of photos stored by the Poles in Vilnius region. After the short overview of Vilnius land, it is explained that many of the objects have not only material meaning. There are things that have a sentimental importance. These can be dishes or jewelery transmitted from generation to generation. There are also items that have no value in use, but are kept, because are souvenirs after some close person or the stage of life. Based on the pictures showed by the speakers in Trakai and the stories associated with them, there were extracted three categories of memories: people, places and events. Among the stories, there are occurences related to the relations between Poland and Lithuania in the historical background, but the stories of everyday living of Polish people in Vilnius. It was selected that people keep pictures of many periods of their life from birth to death, and many of the photographs evoke nostalgic feelings. Moreover, people competed it with the present day, which often led to reflection on transience and aging. There were also attempts to recall the circumstances of taking a picture or the surename of person in the photography. Later, there has been selected that as well as all the collected items, also photographes are estimated by the owners. There has been paid attention to the fact that some of the pictures caused that the interlocutors told stories unrelated to the people or places in the picture. In the atticle has been noted that giving rise to this kind of associations and memories is important while discussing the meaning of photography. In conclusion, once again there were presented the values of photographies for people. There was also described the general nature of the pictures stored by the Poles in the Vilnius region.
