Lietuvos kaimų praeitis tautos istorinės atminties kloduose
LTXX–XXI a. sandūroje išaugo susidomėjimas Lietuvos kaimų istorijomis. Poreikis ieškoti savo istorinių šaknų paskatino ir kaimų istorijoms skirtų įvairaus pobūdžio leidinių bumą. Tačiau dar prieš gerą šimtmetį agrarinę civilizaciją pakeitė industrinė. Todėl kyla klausimas, ar šiais laikais dar verta domėtis kaimu, kurio svarba nuolat mažėja. Klausimas tiriamas aptariant kaimų istorijoms skirtų darbų atsiradimą, jų žanrus ir įvertinant ateities perspektyvas. Pirmosios lietuviškai parašytos Lietuvos kaimų istorijos pasirodė XIX a. pabaigoje, Europoje plečiantis tautinio atgimimo sąjūdžiams. Šie darbai prisidėjo prie lietuvių tautos istorinės atminties formavimosi. Tarpukariu kraštotyros darbai dar labiau suaktyvėjo. Sovietmečiu dėl ideologinės kontrolės kraštotyrinius tyrimus buvo sudėtinga organizuoti, tačiau būtent tuo metu susiformavo lokalinių monografijų struktūra. Vienas labiausiai tradiciškų kaimo istorijų žanrų – autorinės monografijos apie konkretų kaimą ar miestelį bei jo apylinkes. Tyrimus atlieka ne tik istorikai, bet ir kitų sričių atstovai. Kaimų istorijoms artimos šeimų genealogijos knygos. Šiais laikais greta individualių kaimų istorijos tyrinėtojų ir autorių jau egzistuoja ir kolektyvinės tyrimo bei leidybos struktūros, kurių veikla vis plečiasi. Kai kurių leidyklų darbe kraštotyrinės literatūros leidyba užima svarbią vietą. Naujausios technologijos gali reikšmingai prisidėti prie kaimų istorijoms skirtų tyrimų. Todėl verta tikėtis, kad tokie tyrimai padės miestiečiais tapusiems lietuviams išlaikyti atmintį apie jų kaimiečius protėvius.
ENThe interest in the history of Lithuanian villages has increased during 20th-21st centuries. The urge to look for their own historical roots has also led to a boom in publications dedicated to different kinds of villages. A century ago, agricultural civilization has developed into industrial civilization. Therefore, the question is whether it is still relevant to show an interest in a village whose importance is constantly decreasing. The issue is addressing by discussing the development of works dedicated to villages, the genres, and the assessment of future prospects. First written stories in Lithuanian about its villages appeared in the late 19th century during the growth of the national revival unions that were happening in Europe. These works have contributed to the formation of the historical memory of the Lithuanian nation. Regional studies became even more popular during the inter-war period. In Soviet times, it has been difficult to organize regional studies due to the control of the ideology, but precisely at the time, the localised structure of monographs has formed. One of the most traditional genres of the village history – the copyrighted monographs about a particular village or town and its surrounding area. Research is carried out not only by historians but also by the representatives of other fields. Village history is closely related to family genealogy books. In these days, there are not only individual researchers and authors analysing villages' history but also the collective research and publishing structures which are expanding. Literature of regional studies is very important for the work of some publishing companies. The latest technology can contribute significantly to the research for villages' stories. It is, therefore, worthwhile to expect that such research will help people living in the cities to keep the memory about their ancestors from villages.
