"Walka o oddech": noty o poetach rosyjskich - Annie Achmatowej i Osipie Mandelsztamie

LTStraipsnyje aptariamos Česlovo Milošo kūrybos ir rusų poezijos sąsajos. Dėstydamas JAV universitetuose Č. Milošas nagrinėjo A. Achmatovos ir O. Mandelštamo poeziją. Eilėraščių atranka nebuvo atsitiktinė. Č. Milošas analizavo eilėraščius, įkvėpusius jo kūrybinę vaizduotę ir kalbėjusius apie jam svarbius dalykus – tremtį, atmintį, kūrybos procesą ir laisvę, tuo pačiu metu įterpiant XX a. istoriją į platesnį kultūrinį ir politinį kontekstą. Be eilėraščių nagrinėjimo, poetas domėjosi tarpkultūrinio vertimo problema. Jis tiesė tiltus tarp Rytų ir Vakarų. Jie jungė atskirus įvykius ir laikus į vieningą visumą.

ENIn this article the connections between the writings of Czesław Miłosz and Russian poetry are discussed. During his lectures at American universities, Miłosz discussed the poetry of Akhmatova and Mandelstam. His selection of works was not haphazard. Miłosz analysed poems which inspired his imaginative quests and took up subjects important to him, such as expatriation, remembrance, the process of creation and freedom, while at the same time enabling the history of the twentieth century to be presented in a wider cultural and political context. By poetical education, the poet took up the problem of intercultural translation. He built bridges between West and East. They connected specific events and times with a universal message.
