ENThis article presents the work of Czesław Miłosz not only from a biographical point of view, but also as seen from the perspective of another poet and a Lithuanian immigrant. The author focuses on Milosz's relationship with Vilnius and Lithuania. Calling him "The Poet of Two Nations" (alluding to the Polish-Lithuanian Republic), he examines the problem of dual identity. This article shows how the poet's Lithuanian origins and his perception of the landscape of his childhood influenced his work.
