Summary / Abstract:

LT2000 m. liepos mėn. VU pradėjo Paprūdžių kapinyno, Kelmės r., tyrinėjimus. Kapinynas yra Paprūdžių kaimo P dalyje, plento Tauragė-Šiauliai dešinėje pusėje, per 200-300 m į Š-ŠR nuo tiltelio per Vėgėlės upelį. Kapinynas šiuo metu yra privačioje kaimo gyventojos S. Karlamovienės žemės valdoje [p. 102].

ENIn 2000 VU investigated the Paprūdžiai cemetery (Kelmė district) which is well known in the archaeological literature since the beginning of the 20th century. The area of 52 m² has been investigated in the cemetery and the graves of 2 men were found. Both graves contained the following burial items: iron socked arrowhead, iron and bronze buckles. In the territory of the cemetery the cube octagon shaped (faceted with numerous planes) bead and flint spokshave also were found. The cemetery may be dated to the 4th-5th centuries.
