ENLarge landed estates located in the territories of present-day Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine and Russia belonged to Bona Sforza. When the Grand Duchess was still alive it was confirmed that these lands would be inherited by her son Sigismund Augustus. Their structure and formation are investigated in the article on the basis of 'Queen Bonas Metrics'. According to the author, this set of documents dated the first half of the 16th century earlier was not used by the historians as a source therefore information recorded in it can be investigated making use of different aspects of historical knowledge.
