LTVienas skyrybos taisyklių tikslinimo tikslų – atskirti rašančiojo, o ypač vertinančiojo subjektyviai interpretacijai nepaklūstančius skyrimo atvejus ir iš jų sudaryti privalomojo skyrimo taisykles, kurias turi išmokti ir kurių privalo laikytis visi rašantieji. Visa, kas neįeina į šias taisykles, priklausytų nuo rašančiojo norų perteikti tam tikrus prasmės ir intonacinius niuansus, ir vertintojas tokio pasirinkimo negalėtų laikyti klaidingu, nebent patartų, kaip skyrimą padaryti tikslesnį, geriau atitinkantį tekstą. ENOne of the goals of reforming the rules of punctuation is to identify instances where punctuation does not obey the writer’s or the evaluator’s subjective interpretation and to make compulsory rules for these instances, which need to be learnt and obeyed by all who write the Lithuanian language. Anything in a text that is outside these rules would be a matter of the writer wishing to convey certain nuances of meaning and intonation. An evaluator would not hold such a choice to be erroneous, although he might advise on how to make the punctuation more precise and more suited to the text. This article deals with directions in reforming punctuation and the difficulties that arise therein.
