LTŠis "Lietuvos istorijos bibliografijos" tomas yra eilinis Lietuvos istorijos einamosios bibliografijos tomas. Jis parengtas laikantis tų pačių bibliografuojamos medžiagos atrankos ir jos išdėstymo principų, kaip ir ankstesnis tomas. Padaryti tik nedideli pakeitimai. 1. Chronologinė riba tarp skyrių 4.2. ir 4.3. šiame tome yra 1386 m., Lietuvos ir Lenkijos personalinės unijos pradžios metai, o ne 1385 m., kaip kad buvo ankstesniame tome. 2. Pagausėjus Lietuvos istorijos po 1990 m. analitinių darbų, skyrius 4.8. papildytas Tyrinėjimų poskyriu. Ankstesniame tome neužregistruoti įrašai Įtraukti į šį tomą.

ENThe present volume of "Lietuvos istorijos bibliografija" [Lithuanian Historical Bibliography] is part of a serial publication of the running Lithuanian historical bibliography. Its structure is based on the same principles of selection and presentation as the previous volume, bar the following minor differences: (1) in this volume the chronological boundary between Chapters 4.2 and 4.3 is 1386, i. e., the year of the start of the personal union between Lithuania and Poland, and not 1385; (2) taking into consideration the increase of analytical works on the history of Lithuania after 1990, Chapter 4.8 is supplemented by the subchapter 'Tyrinėjimai' (Studies). The present volume contains a number of items chronologically going back to the year 1996 but for various reasons not recorded in 1996.
