LTStraipsnyje glaustai apibūdinta Lietuvos, Latvijos ir Estijos gyventojų tautinė sudėtis (1990 m. gyventojų surašymo duomenimis). Suprantama, tai daroma tik bandant išryškinti Lietuvos specifiką, kurios etninė situacija pristatoma išsamiau, pabrėžiant vietos ypatumus. Supažindinama su XXI a. pradžioje atliktų sociologinių tyrimų, kuriuose nagrinėjami tautiniai elgesio ar suvokimo stereotipai, rezultatais. ENThe article provides a brief characterization of the national composition of the inhabitants of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia (according to the data of census of 1990). Naturally, it is done only for the purpose of attempting to highlight the specifics of Lithuania, whose ethnic situation is presented comprehensively, stressing the peculiarities of the areas. The article gets the reader familiarized with the results of the sociological studies, performed in the beginning of the 21st century, which examine the national stereotypes of behaviour or perception and provides the data on the ways of learning of languages, characteristic of individual nations.
