Dėl jungtinės Lenkijos ir Lietuvos valstybės vardo

LTStraipsnyje bandoma klasifikuoti valstybės, atsiradusios po Lenkijos ir Lietuvos Didžiosios Kunigaikštystės unijos 1569 m., pavadinimus ir aiškintis, kodėl jie atsiranda ir ką reiškia, kaip buvo vartojami XX a. antroje pusėje ir mūsų dienomis. 1569 m. Liublino unijos aktuose naujoji jungtinė valstybė įvardijama kaip bendra Respublika. Ji imta vadinti Abiejų Tautų Respublika, Rzespospolita Obojga Nrodów. Tautų terminas čia reiškė susijungusias dvi politines tautas, Lenkijos ir Lietuvos. Ilgainiui dėl įvairių priežasčių ši valstybė kasdieniame gyvenime, oficialiuose tekstuose užsienyje ir viduje imta vadinta Lenkija. Net 1795 m. Respublikai žlugus, Lenkijos ir daugelio Europos šalių istoriografijoms ji dar ilgai liko tik Lenkija. Nuo XX a. vidurio istoriografijoje atsiranda Lenkijos ir Lietuvos valstybės pavadinimas. Pastaruoju metu lenkų istorikai į apyvartą grąžina ir Abiejų Tautų Respublikos vardą. Pastarieji du pavadinimai jungtinės valstybės politinę sandarą.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Lenkija (Lenkijos karalystė. ENThe article tries to classify the names of the state that appeared following the Union of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in 1569 and to elucidate why they appeared and what they meant, how they were used in the second half of the 20th century and nowadays. The joint state was referred to in the 1569 Lublin Union acts as a common republic. It was begun to call it the republic of the Two Nations, Rzespospolita Obojga Nrodów. The term of the nations there meant two united political nations, those of Poland and Lithuania. In the long run due to various reasons this state was begun to be referred to as Poland in everyday life and in official texts abroad and inside the country. Even in 1795, after the Republic collapsed, it remained Poland in historiographies of Poland and many European countries for a long time. Since the middle of the 20th century the name of the Commonwealth of Poland and Lithuania appeared in historiography. Of late the Polish historians bring back the name of the Republic of the Two Nations.
