Žvalgymai Vilniuje, Šv. Kotrynos bažnyčios aplinkoje

LT2005 m. atlikti archeologiniai žvalgymai Šv. Kotrynos bažnyčios (G 226K1P) aplinkoje ir Benediktinių vienuolyno ansamblyje (G 226KP) Vilniuje. Buvo atliekami pamatų hidroizoliavimo darbai, įrengiamos naujos bei rekonstruojamos inžinerinių tinklų trasos [p. 213].

ENDuring the St. Catherine church reconstruction archaeological surveying of its vicinity was performed as well. Finds dating to the 15th-20th century were discovered. In the plots investigated the sterile soil was reached at the depth of 1.7 to 3.5 m; is some spots it was failed to be reached even at the depth of 4 m approximately. The earliest horizon of the cultural layer was datable to the 15th century. Human bones were found. They were investigated by the Vilnius University anthropologists. During the archaeological survey various brick constructions were excavated and recorded. These were foundations of different buildings or their fragments. Most of these buildings dated to the 17th - 18th century.
