Tyrinėjimai Trakų g. 2

LT2004-2005 m. tęsti archeologiniai tyrinėjimai Vilniuje, Trakų g. 2. Archeologiniai darbai buvo atliekami įrengiant naujus inžinerinius tinklus, tvirtinant pastato konstrukcijas, atliekant kitus pastato statybos ir rekonstrukcijos darbus. Tyrinėjimai vykdyti 32 m² plote, žvalgymai - apie 300 m² plote [p. 341].

ENIn late 2004 - early 2005 archaeological investigations were performed at the Trakų Str. 2. Southwards from the building, in the Trakų Street remains of the Trakai Gates of the Vilnius defensive wall built in the early 16th century were discovered. In the inner yard of the building there were remains of brick constructions datable to the 16th - 19th century and clay-daubed wooden constructions attributable to the earliest site habitation period (the late 14th - early 15th century). Various archaeological finds datable to the 15th -20th century were found. Results of the investigations improved our understanding of the site development in the 15th - 20th century.
