Sukurti "lietuvišką madą"
LTMados pasaulis XIX a. pab.–XX a. pr. išgyveno sudėtingą ir neramų laikotarpį. Moterų apranga sparčiai kito, veikiama socialinio ir kultūrinio gyvenimo naujovių, siūbuodama tarp rafinuotų moderno stiliaus formų ir įsibėgėjančios emancipacijos reikalaujamų praktiškų drabužių. Tuo pat metu vykęs nacionalinių valstybių stiprėjimas skatino dėmesį nacionalinės kultūros apraiškoms, buvo žavimasi liaudies drabužiais ir tautiniu kostiumu. Kai kur, ypač vokiškai kalbančiose valstybėse ir Šiaurės Europos šalyse, būta bandymų sujungti modernumo ir tautiškumo paieškas. Iš šių eksperimentų yra kilę daug stilizuotų tautinio kostiumo modelių, iki šiol tebevilkimų Norvegijoje, Švedijoje, Islandijoje, Vokietijoje, taip pat gimė specifinės buitinių drabužių mados pakraipos. Lietuvoje tautiškos mados kūrimas neįgavo reikšmingo masto, praktiniai jo rezultatai buvo gana kuklūs. Įdomiausiomis šio judėjimo apraiškomis turbūt laikytinos spaudoje vykusios diskusijos, kurių apžvalga bei analizė ir yra šio rašinio objektas. Straipsnyje tiriami XX a. I pusėje vykę bandymai suformuoti nacionalinės mados fenomeną, sukurti buitinius drabužius, kuriuose derėtų modernios mados tendencijos ir vertingais laikyti tradicinės XIX a. kaimo aprangos bei tautinio kostiumo elementai. Vis dėlto domimasi ne tautinio kostiumo, turinčio apibrėžtą simbolinį krūvį, kūryba, o bandymais suformuoti „nacionalinės mados“ fenomeną, turėjusį pakeisti arba bent pakoreguoti iš Paryžiaus į visą Vakarų pasaulį sklindančios mados diktatą.Reikšminiai žodžiai: Lietuviška mada; Mada; Tautinis stilius; Marta Raišukytė; Lithuanian fashion; Fashion; National costume; Marta Raišukytė.
ENThe fashion world went through a difficult and anxious time in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Women’s clothing changed rapidly, impacted by innovations in social and cultural life, and drifting between refined forms of modern style and practical clothing demanded by the emancipation that was gaining momentum. The strengthening of nation states that took place at the same time prompted attention to manifestations of national culture, and traditional garments and national costumes were the object of admiration. In some places – especially in German-speaking countries and the Nordic states – there were attempts to fuse the searches for modernity and national identity. These experiments resulted in numerous stylized folk costume models which are still worn in Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Germany today; specific trends in domestic fashion were also born. The creation of ethnic fashion in Lithuania did not take on a significant scale – its practical results were quite modest. The most interesting manifestations of this movement are probably considered to be the discussions which took place in the press, the overview and analysis of which are the subject of this essay. The article examines attempts that took place in the first half of the 20th century to form a national fashion phenomenon and create home wear that combined modern fashion trends and valuable elements of traditional 19th century rural clothing and national costume. Nevertheless, it is not the creation of a national costume, with its defined symbolic charge, that is of interest, but rather – attempts to forma a “national fashion” phenomenon which was to have replaced or at least corrected the fashion dictates emanating from Paris to the entire Western world.
