ENAccording to the folk music performing traditions of the accordion and concertina on the one hand and to the features of the Lithuanian ethnic music on the other, the academic pieces for accordion of Lithuanian composers are being analysed. The influence of the folk music performing traditions and the features of the Lithuanian ethnic music on the Lithuanian composers’ academic pieces for accordion are being discussed. The signs of the folk performing traditions were obtained by the analysis of over 80 pieces played accordion and concertina by the folk musicians. For this analysis the research work "The art of the Lithuanian folk concertina players" written by doctor Albertas Baika and the books "The folk concertinas" and "The music for concertinas" also written by A. Baika were used. For the analysis of the signs of the folk music performing traditions the records of Lithuanian folk concertina players, which are at the depository of Lithuanian music academy also were used. The signs of the Lithuanian ethnic music were obtained using the research work "The folk polyphony tradition of the rhythm of the Lithuanian music" written by doctor Rūta Gaidamavičiūtė and using the books, which are analysing the features of the Lithuanian ethnic music. The influence of the folk performing traditions and Lithuanian ethnic music on academic pieces for accordion of the Lithuanian composers was not analysed before. So this article is even important at the present time. [From the publication]
