LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama moksleivių rengimosi karjeros sprendimo priėmimui bendrojo lavinimo mokykloje problema. Pristatoma vieno iš šios problemos sprendimo etapų - socioedukacinių rengimosi karjeros sprendimo priėmimui prielaidų Lietuvos gimnazijose tyrimas. Pateikiami jo metodologiniai pagrindai, metodika, rezultatai bei rezultatų analizė. Pastaroji parodė, kad gimnazijoje sukuriamos prielaidos moksleiviams pasirengti karjeros spendimo priėmimui yra netolygios ir nepakankamos. ENThe changes of environment situation and mode of activity condition the new requirements for a person; he/ she has to know how to act in a changing situation and to take an individual responsibility for his/her own career. The secondary school has one goal: to create preconditions for students to prepare for the future career. Indispensable skills are acquired exactly at this stage of education. The question is: how to prepare students of secondary school to career decision? The article presents one of the stages of solving this problem. This is the research of preconditions of education to career decision skills in Lithuania gymnasiums. The subjects of the research were 350 Kaunas region gymnasium students, 120 Kaunas region gymnasium teachers, 6 Kaunas region gymnasium headmasters. Analysis of research data is both statistical (SPSS 9.0 for Windows, the program of handling statistical data to perform the analysis of quantitative data is used), and linguistic, to analyse qualitative data. The article consists of four parts. Theoretical basis of empirical research is presented in the first part. Here an integral character of career education and career decision is emphasised. It determines the complexity of research of career decision preconditions. The second part presents the design of the research. The research results are presented in the third part. The research results are analysed in the fourth part of the article.The analysis of the results shows that preconditions of education for career decision skills exist, but they are not adequate. Inadequacy of the preconditions manifests itself in non-evenness. The best preconditions are for the development of self-understanding skills, the worst ones - for the development of decision taking. There are no possibilities to know the world of work in the secondary school. [From the publication]
