ENArticle presents the results of the questionnaire "The integration of the theme of death to the subject of philosophy from the students' point of view", which was organized at the Health Care Faculty of the University of Applied Sciences (Vilnius, Lithuania). The answers to this questionnaire show the urgency of the theme of death to the future specialists of health care. Because of that, the literature of both philosophical and clinical area was analysed. It was the base to find the possibilities of the above mentioned integration in the context of the ties between philosophical notion of death and clinical practice, specifically between the ideas of the existential philosophers M. Heidegger, J. P. Sartre, A. Camus, and five phases of the reaction to death of the patients, described by E. Kübler-Ross.
