Миф города в романах Ричардаса Гавялиса

LTVilniaus, kuris yra visų septynių R. Gavelio romanų veiksmo vieta ir pagrindinis veikiantis asmuo, vaizdinį struktūruoja miesto steigties ir žlugimo mitai. Pradžios ir pabaigos mitus sujungia metamorfozės motyvas, tampantis kūrinių metasiužetu. Dviprasmį romanų autoriaus požiūrį į Vilnių atitinka postmodernistinė archaiškųjų ir šiuolaikinių, „kasdienybės mitų“ samplaika, atskleidžianti mitologizuotos miesto istorijos atvirumą ideologinėms reikšmėms.

ENThe image of Vilnius, which is the scene and the main character of all seven novels by R. Gavelis, is structured by the myths of foundation and collapse of the city. The myths of the beginning and the end are joined together by the motif of metamorphosis, which becomes the metaplot of the works. The ambiguous attitude of the author towards Vilnius corresponds to the postmodern combination of archaic and contemporary everyday myths, which reveals the openness of the mythologised history of the city for ideological meanings.
