ENThe concept of art therapy is a new thing in our culture, though it is quite common in other countries. Specialists of art therapy are trained not in all the universities of the country, whereas methods and methodologies of art therapy are enriched and developed, doctor’s theses on individual issues of art therapy are written and defended. Science institutes work exceptionally in this area in Austria, Germany, France and United Kingdom. Pedagogues, psychologists, medics and connoisseurs of various arts work shoulder to shoulder in these institutes. Academic studies and research in the area of art therapy have a certain interdisciplinary nature. Precisely in this area specialists representing various fields work in cooperation. The book Artistic Education of the Disabled. Aspects of Methodology and Therapy on the basis of research deals with very import issues related with the person’s education and, more specifically, with the disabled’s socialisation.
