LTStraipsnyje aptariama aktuali mokyklos socialinės atsakomybės problema, formuluojama jos samprata, apžvelgiami mokyklos socialinės atsakomybės lygiai, veiksniai, turintys įtakos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos socialinei atsakomybei, [vairiais socialinės atsakomybės lygiais išryškinama Lietuvos bendrojo lavinimo mokyklos socialinės atsakomybės problema. PAGRINDINIAI ŽODŽIAI, mokykla, socialinė atsakomybė, jos lygiai, veiksniai.

ENThe article analyses the school in the aspect of social responsibility. Thus the object of the research is social responsibility. The aniele presents the analysis of the meaning of the very concept of social responsibility and the social responsibility of a school is being defined. A great variety of different definitions of the levels of social responsibility and the factors influencing school, presented by different authors forms the basis for the development of a scheme that illustratcs the factors influencing the social responsibility of a school. This article also presents the analysis of Lithuanian secondary school's social responsibility in the aspect of personal, internal and external environment and societal levels. After the analysis is being carried out the conclusions are being formulated at the end of the article. I) The social responsibility of a secondary school is a complicated phenomenon, which should be analyzed in certain levels (personal, internal and external environment, societal) and in the aspects of its mission delegated to it and the effectiveness of its activity. 2) The social responsibility can be defined as the commitment of an organization to follow certain policy, to take decisions, and act considering the societal interest. 3) Secondary school of Lithuania does not accomplish fully the mission delegated to it; so one could carry out the research of school's activity in the aspect of social responsibility and foresee the rational solutions of its activity effectiveness.
