Summary / Abstract:

ENThis article explores the legal limits to suppliers' and contracting authorities' ability to modify an original bid after it has been submitted and once the submission deadline has expired. It is based firstly on an analysis of the case-law of Lithuanian courts and reveals their original approach to the application of EU public procurement directives, and tackles secondly the Lithuanian public procurement legislation and highlights the division of the different sections of suppliers' tenders into three categories, each being submitted to specific rules on possible amendment of the original bid.
