Po Europos Sąjungos
LTStraipsnyje aptariami kultūros pokyčiai Lietuvai atgavus Nepriklausomybę ir jai kylantys iššūkiai, įstojus į Europos Sąjungą. Pažymima, kad viešojo gyvenimo erdvėje funkcionuojantis praktinis protas susirūpinęs tik savo galių gausinimu, kurių tikslas - manipuliavimo galimybės. Susitapatinti su gamtamokslinio žinojimo technologijomis ir jų teikiamomis verslo inovacijomis pajėgiantis protas tampa valdančiuoju arba, reikalui esant, manipuliuojančiu. Autoriaus teigimu, iš viešojo gyvenimo teorinis protas eliminuotas, o unifikuojamas protas yra vartotojų visuomenės kanonams paklūstančios tikrovės mąstymas, arba pelnų mąstymas. Nesutikimas su totalinės pinigų ir pelnų kontrolės sąlygomis paliekamas marginalams. Pažymima, kad į daugiamatiškumą skylantis ideologinis protas pamažu tapo instrumentinis- aptarnaujantis arba verslo, arba politines technologijas. Konstatuojama, kad tik Europa sukūrė žmonių bendriją, kuri buvo pavadinta etnine tauta. Tai - kultūriškai konsoliduota bendruomenė, o tos konsolidacijos pamatas - tautos žemė, istorija, kalba ir bendras istorinis likimas. Pažymima, kad tik Europa iškėlė tokį istorijos subjektą kaip nacionalinės valstybės. Reziumuojama, kad imperijos gyvuoja tol, kol išnaudoja savo plėtros resursus: Tarybų Sąjunga žlugo, išnaudojusi plėšikiškai eksploatuotus gamtos resursus, o Europos Sąjunga priėjo savo plėtros ribas, išnaudojusi savo žmonių kūrybinius resursus. ENThe article discusses changes in culture after Lithuania regained its independence and the challenges it faced after joining the European Union. It is noted that the practical mind functioning in the space of public life is concerned only with the strength of its powers, the aim of which is the possibility of manipulation. The mind capable to identify itself with technologies of life science and their business innovations becomes a controller or, if necessary, a manipulator. According to the author, the theoretical mind is eliminated from the public life, and the unified mind is the thinking of reality conforming to the canons of the consumers, or the thinking of the profits. Disagreement with the total control of cash and profits is left for the marginals. It is noted that the multidimensional ideological mind has gradually become instrumental - serving either business or political technologies. It is stated that only Europe has created a community, called an ethnic nation. It is a culturally consolidated community, and the basis of this consolidation is the nation's land, history, language and the common historical fate. It is noted that only Europe has raised such a subject of history as national states. It is summarized that the empires continue to exist until they exhaust their development resources: the Soviet Union collapsed when it exhausted the natural resources, and the European Union has reached its limits of development when it exhausted the creative resources of its people. According to the author, the European nations are already preparing for the life of the renewed national states after the European Union, restoring the mind which fully reflects the reality.
