LTDarbų, nagrinėjančių medicinos raidą Kėdainiuose XVI-XX a. pradž., yra labai nedaug ir beveik visi jie skirti farmacijos raidai tirti. Apie Kėdainių vaistines rašė M. Brenšteinas, H. Grinevičius ir H. Maročkinas. M. Brenšteinas savo darbe apie Lietuvos vaistines [Br. M., 1913] pateikė duomenų apie kai kuriuos XVII a. antrosios pusės Kėdainių vaistininkus, H. Grinevičius [Grinevičius H., 1959] išsamiai aprašė Kėdainių XVII a. antrosios pusės vaistines. H. Grinevičiaus ir H. Maročkino straipsnyje [Grinevičius H., Maročkinas H., 1966] duodama žinių apie XVII a. vid. - XVIII a. pradžios medicinos daktarų ir vaistininkų antkapinius paminklus. Kituose istoriniuose veikaluose tėra vien užuominų apie senųjų Kėdainių medicinos raidą. [p. 95].
