LTŠiame straipsnyje aiškinama, kodėl verta tautinės kultūros elementus taikyti mokyme kaip pažintinių žinių šaltinį. Paminimi šią idėją paremiantys autoriai, rašytojai. Siekiama parodyti, kad tautinė kultūra turi išskirtinę reikšmę. Straipsnis atskleidžia daugiaplanį kalbos ryšį su tautine kultūra ir įrodo, kad kalba saugo tautinę kultūrą, ją puoselėja.

ENThe work presents the analysis of the interaction of language and environment, distinguishes the most important micro- and macro environmental factors which have great influence on the student, the language teaching and the language itself. The research method used in the work is analysis of scientific literature. Main statements are the following: 1. Language and environment are closely interrelated. 2. Language is a social phenomenon influenced by national culture. The research work is new for its analysis of the linguistic environment and the factors, which influence it.
