ENThe author of the article analyses two poems of contemporary poet Aidas Marčėnas „Diena" (A Day) and „Pavasario vėjas" (Wind of Spring). In the first poem opposition between fragmentation (smithereens) of life (a day) and continuity of art, an ability to reveal integral subsistence is highlighted. In the second poem („Pavasario vėjas") the interpreter envisages exaltation of bread spirit: a poet calls people, animals, birds and spirits together around the table where all of them are making a ritual of sharing bread body. Thus foretime and a common keystone of all lives - nature - arc recalled. The result of conspiracy of nature and Man is bread - the beginning and a symbol of civilization.
