Summary / Abstract:

ENA publication by Marcelijus Martinaitis is dedicated to the 80th birth anniversary of poet Paulius Širvys who died in 1979. The article gives an emphasis on a cycle of poems "Ilgesys - ta giesmė" (Yearning is that song") which was one of the strongest and most influential poetic works that had legalized a tradition of Lithuanian love lyrics.
