LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjama gyventojų gyvenimo lygio ir skurdo problema Lietuvoje. Tyrime remtasi statistiniais ir Rytų Lietuvos gyventojų sociologinės apklausos duomenimis. Pateikiami skurdo rodikliai pagal socialines grupes, atskleidžiamas gyventojų požiūris į skurdo priežastis ir gyvenimo lygio kilimo perspektyvas.
ENThe life level of population and the problem of poverty arc discussed in the article. The author gives the statistical data and the results of the sociological research carried out in East Lithuania. The indicators of poverty according to different social groups are presented in the paper as well as the inhabitant views on the reasons of poverty and prospects of improvement of life level.
