Iliuzijos ir realijos: Jono Kossu-Aleksandravičiaus poezijos kelionė

ENThe principal cultural tendencies in Lithuania (1918-1940) paradoxically coincided with the European reaction against philosophical and aesthetical opposition between positivism and idealism. The response resulted in the attempt of syntheze subjectivity and objectivity in order to preserve the wholeness of life. In Lithuania it was the trial to find the equilibrium between old and new, country and city, homeland and European traditions, and also between word and life. In his poems, J.Kossu-Aleksandravičius seeks to preserve the unity of life, and this goal can be achieved only through the creative practice - poiesis, which comes with anthropos and logos. The need to create arises from the dialectics between the many and the one, and this process has its own goal which can be described as transcendental point, showing the distinction between reality and illusion. These oppositions separate the whole universe, including the poetry, and the only criterion of truth is the discovered illusion.
