Summary / Abstract:

LTTyrime analizuojamos telekomunikacijų sektoriaus organizacijų įvaizdžio sudedamosios dalys, aptariami teoriniai aspektai. Šio tyrimo tikslas – nustatyti, koks „Telia“, „Tele2“ ir „Bitė“ vadovų įvaizdis kuriamas Lietuvos internetinėje žiniasklaidoje 2020 metais. Gauti rezultatai gali būti naudingi telekomunikacijų sektoriuje veikiančių bendrovių vadovybėms ir kitiems tyrėjams, tęsiantiems atliktą tyrimą. Siekiant įgyvendinti darbe keliamus uždavinius straipsnyje taikomi keli metodai: taikant mokslinės literatūros analizės ir sintezės metodą, pateikiama organizacinio įvaizdžio samprata ir ypatumai. Atskleidžiama įvaizdžio sampratų įvairovė nurodant pagrindinius skirtumus. Analizuojama telekomunikacijų bendrovių vadovų komunikacijos specifika. Toliau pristatomi ir analizuojami empirinio tyrimo, siekiant ištirti, koks Lietuvoje veikiančių telekomunikacijų bendrovių „Telia“, „Tele2“ ir „Bitė“ vadovų įvaizdis formuojamas interneto žiniasklaidoje 2020 metais, rezultatai. Nustatyta, kad daugiausia komunikuoja „Tele2“ vadovas Petras Masiulis, mažiausiai – „Telia“ vadovas Danas Strömberg’as.

ENNowadays, with the internet being accessible to almost everyone, and the number of users only growing, companies increasingly want not only to reach potential customers but also to shape their image in customers’ eyes. Organisations need to be visible in the public sphere, and the media offers them this opportunity. The media is not only a source of information for the public, but also an opinion-former that can influence an organisation’s image regardless of its actions. It is precisely the image of leaders that plays a significant role in shaping the organisation’s positive image, which depends on the decisions they make, their reputation, and their verbal and non-verbal communication within the organisation. This is why it is important to determine how the image of leaders of telecommunications companies can be formed in the media, and what kind of image it is. This study analyses the components of the image of telecommunications organisations, and discusses the theoretical aspects. It aims to determine how the image of the CEOs of Telia, Tele2 and Bitė was created in the Lithuanian online media in 2020. To achieve the objectives of the study, several methods are used: first, the analysis and synthesis of scientific literature were used to present the concept and characteristics of the organisation’s image. These methods made it possible to reveal the various concepts of image, and to highlight the main differences between them. Further, empirical research was provided to investigate how the image of the managers of telecommunications companies operating in Lithuania, Telia, Tele2 and Bitė, was formed in online media in 2020. It was found that Petras Masiulis, the head of Tele2, communicates the most, while Danas Strömbergas, the head of Telia, communicates the least. The best and most respectable image of the heads of the telecommunications companies Telia, Tele2 and Bitė in online media belongs to Petras Masiulis of Tele2: his image was the most frequently seen, and he was always portrayed as a positive, confident, reserved and respectable leader. In analysing the relationship between telecommunications companies’ investment in advertising and the image of company executives in online media, it was found that companies’ investment in advertising is partly related to the frequency of communication by company executives, and to their positive positioning in online media. The results obtained by this study might be helpful to telecommunications companies and other researchers who may continue the research in this field. KEY WORDS: communication, image, leader, organisation, telecommunication.
