Noch einmal zum "Giesmų Giesmė Salomono" der Bretkeschen Bibelhandschrift
LTStraipsnyje aptariamas Jono Bretkūno Giesmių giesmės vertimas. Formuluojami du klausimai: ar Giesmių giesmė J. Bretkūno gyvenamuoju laikotarpiu buvo suvokiama kaip poetinis tekstas, kiek į tai galėjo kreipti dėmesio vertėjas. Į išsikeltus klausimus bandoma atsakyti, pasitelkiant Martino Lutherio paskaitų medžiagą. Straipsnyje akcentuojamos M. Lutherio ir J. Bretkūno požiūrių į Giesmių giesmę paralelės. Šio darbo rezultatas aiškus. M. Lutherio alegorizacija įvyko atsižvelgiant ir į klasikines poetines normas. Taigi bent jau teoriškai įmanoma, kad šis požiūris buvo svarbus J. Bretkūnui, besirengiančiam versti Giesmių giesmę.
ENIn his article concerning John Bretke's translation of the Lutheran translation of the Song of Songs Kessler raises two questions: Was the Song of Songs generally regarded as a poetical text at Bretke's time and in which degree were poetical norms drawn into consideration in its translations? Kessler found the answers to these questions in a lecture held by Martin Luther in the years 1530-31, and in texts accompanying the publication of this lecture. Kessler's article reviews Luther's own statements about the poetics of the Song of Songs. Kessler's conclusion is that since Luther has regarded the Song of Songs as a work of poetry it is very likely that also Bretke has considered the poetics of the work in his translation.
