LTStraipsnis yra Kęstučio Nastopkos studijos „Literatūros semiotika“ recenzija. Pavadinimas „Literatūros semiotika“ yra nukreiptas į vientisą objektą – literatūrą. Vis dėlto tai nereiškia, kad pati teorija yra monolitinė ir vientisa. „Literatūros semiotika“ pristatoma derinant skirtingus tos pačios teorijos aspektus bei nuolat žvalgantis į analizuojamus tekstus kaip į tam tikrus teorijos verifikacijos saugiklius. Nastopkos knyga sudaryta iš penkių skyrių, kurių pirmieji trys pristato pagrindinius semiotikos terminus ir sąvokas. Šie skyriai aprašo tris esminius semiotinės analizės ir teksto organizacijos lygmenis – figūratyvinį, semio-naratyvinį ir loginį-semantinį. Ketvirtojoje ir penktojoje knygos dalyse teorinė problematika atskleidžiama palaipsniui, į kontekstą įpinant visą autorių ansamblį. Šie paskutiniai du knygos skyriai yra išsamūs ir prisodrinti semiotikos. Būtent jie padaro leidinį ypač vertingą ne tik pirmą kartą susidūrus su semiotika, bet ir norint pratęsti pažintį su ja. Nastopkos studija taps nepakeičiamu tekstu, kuris galės funkcionuoti ne tik kaip semiotikos tiesų rinkinys, bet ir diskusijų bei debatų katalizatorius. ENThe article is a review of the study by Kęstutis Nastopka “Literatūros semiotika” [Semiotics of Literature]. The title “Literatūros semiotika” is directed towards a solid subject – literature. This does not nevertheless mean that the theory itself is monolithic and solid. “Literatūros semiotika” is introduced by combining different aspects of the same theory and by constantly looking at the texts under examination as certain safeguards of theory verification. Nastopka’s book comprises five chapters. The first three chapters introduce the main terms and concepts of semiotics. These chapters describe three fundamental levels of semiotic analysis and textual organisation, which are as follows: figurative, semio-narrative and logical-semantic. Chapter four and chapter five gradually reveal theoretic problems by including the entire ensemble of authors. These last two chapters of the book are thorough and enriched with semiotics. It is they that make the publication especially valuable to not only those who are introduced to semiotics, but also those who want to broaden their knowledge of it. Nastopka’s study will become an irreplaceable text functioning as not only a collection of semiotic truths, but also a catalyst for discussions and debates. “Literatūros semiotika” is a fluent and friendly text managing to involve in a discussion even those who do not admire structural theories. After familiarising themselves with this book and understanding peculiarities of semiotics, readers will have enough knowledge to go back to Nastopka’s study “Reikšmių poetika” [Poetics of Meanings] and to grasp texts of “radical” semiotics.
