(Ne)priklausomybė: architektų ir sodininkų simpoziumas geltoname ūke

LTŠiame straipsnyje apmąstoma dabartinė Lietuvos sociokultūrinė situacija. Autorius ją analizuoja pasitelkdamas tris metaforas – architektų, sodininkų ir geltonos šviesos. Pirmieji steigia struktūras, tiki geresnio pasaulio projektų galimybe, kuria iš nieko, tobulina ir gerina, formuoja ir performuoja. Antrieji – apkarpo ir palygina jau atrastus pasaulio augalus, jie regi ir puoselėja atskirybes, netiki visumų realumu, ragina grįžti atgal į gamtą, prie šaknų, yra įsitikinę, kad pasaulio duotą medžiagą tegalima tik kiek pakoreguoti, bet iš esmės pasaulis yra toks, koks yra. Šiedu galvojimo būdai daugmaž aptinkami ir Lietuvoje, todėl mėginama išsiaiškinti, kaip jie gyvuoja ir kodėl abu patiria sunkumų. Į straipsnį įterptas dokumentas rodo, kad norvegų rekomendacijos Lietuvos mokslo bendruomenei pasižymi „architektūriniu“ galvojimo būdu, visumos projekcija. Lietuva regima kaip visumos dalis. Kitas literatūrinis intarpas iliustruoja „sodininko“ poziciją. „Sodininko“ galvojimas nėra priešiškas bendruomenei ar ją neigiantis, tačiau abstrakti, universalizuojanti „architekto“ laiko ir erdvės samprata „sodininkui“ yra svetima. Trečioji „geltonosios šviesos“ metafora realiai egzistuoja Lietuvoje. Ji yra gan patogi dabartinio būvio metafora. Šviesoforo be geltonos akies mechanizmas paprastas: jis turi visas tris akis, tačiau užgesus raudonajai užsidega ne geltona, o iškart žalia. ENThe paper reflects on the current sociocultural situation in Lithuania. The author analyses it by invoking three metaphors: architects, gardeners, and yellow light. The first group establish structures, believe in the possibility of better world projects, create something out of nothing, develop and improve, form and reform. The second group prune and trim the already discovered plants of the world, see and cherish differences, do not believe in the reality of the whole, encourage getting back to nature, to one’s roots, are certain that one can slightly modify the material given by the world, but basically the world is as it is. These two ways of thinking exist in Lithuania as well; therefore, the author attempts to ascertain how they exist and why they experience difficulties. The document given in the paper shows that the Norwegian recommendations to the Lithuanian science community concern the “architectural” way of thinking, the projection of the whole. Lithuania is seen as part of the whole. Another literary insert illustrates the “gardener’s” position. “Gardener’s” thinking is not hostile to the community and does not deny it; however, the abstract and universalising “architect’s” concept of time and space is alien to the “gardener”. The third metaphor of “yellow light” actually exists in Lithuania. It is a rather convenient metaphor of the present state. The mechanism of traffic-lights without the yellow signal is simple: they have all three lamps, yet the red signal is followed by the green signal. Such a way of thinking is very common in Lithuania; it is normative, conforms to common sense and has more or less spread in the entire society.
