Steigiamojo Seimo narių sveikinimai Lietuvai

LTStraipsnyje apžvelgiami Lietuvos Steigiamojo Seimo narių sveikinimai Lietuvos piliečiams, perskaityti 1921 m. gegužės 15 d. Autorius siekia apibendrinti šiuos sveikinimus ir palyginti, kurie iš jų turėjo realios reikšmės tolesniam Lietuvos politikos vystymuisi iki okupacijos pradžios 1940 m. Apibendrinant galima teigti, kad Lietuvos Respublikos Seimo nariai mylėjo tėvynę patriotine prasme. 1921 m. pavasarį jie skleidė idealizmą, optimizmą ir tikėjimą, kad Lietuva pajėgs išsaugoti nepriklausomybę ateityje. Optimistinės nuotaikos ypatingai sustiprėjo po sėkmingo karo dėl Lietuvos nepriklausomybės 1918-1920 m. Jų veiksmai mūšių dėl Nepriklausomybės laikotarpiu rodo, kad sveikinta nuoširdžiai. Kai kurie nariai paliko Steigiamąjį Seimą ir savanoriškai išvyko kariauti. Seimo narys, karininkas Antanas Matulaitis žuvo mūšių prieš Lenkijos kariuomenę metu. Kita vertus, dauguma šių patriotiškų, kupinų entuziazmo sveikinimų, kvietusių visus valstybės piliečius vienytis, buvo pamiršti po 1926 m. perversmo. Tuomet vyriausybiniu lygiu buvo diskredituota Steigiamojo Seimo ir parlamentarizmo idėja. Iš kitos pusės, politinė opozicija stengėsi deklaruoti demokratijos viršenybę ir įvertinti Steigiamojo Seimo veiklos laikotarpį kaip Lietuvos „aukso amžių“. Abu požiūriai rodo, kad Lietuvos visuomenė buvo susiskaldžiusi, nevieninga ir atsidūrusi gilioje politinėje krizėje Lietuvos okupacijos išvakarėse. ENThe article presents the greetings to Lithuanian citizens, made by members of the Lithuanian Constituent Assembly on May 15, 1921. The author of the article tries to summarize these greetings and compare which of them had a real ground in the further Lithuania's political evolution till its occupation in 1940s. In summary, it is possible to valuate that members of Lithuanian Parliament, in the broad patriotic sense, loved their state. In the spring of 1921, they declared idealism, optimistic forecasts, and believed that Lithuania would be able to secure its independence in the future. The sense of optimism especially strengthened after the successful War of Independence in 1918–1920. Their actions during the fights for independence showed that their greetings were sincere. Some of them had left the Constituent Assembly and went to the war as volunteers. The member of Parliament, officer Antanas Matulaitis perished during fights against the Polish army. On the other hand, the majority of these patriotically enthusiastic greetings concerning the unification of the State citizens were forgotten after the coup of 1926. The Constituent Assembly and the idea of parliamentarism were discredited on the governmental level. On the other hand, the political opposition tried to declare the primacy of democratic regime and evaluated the years of Constituent Assembly as the Lithuanian "Golden Age". Both approaches show us that Lithuanian society was split, not united and at the moment of Lithuania's occupation was in a deep political crisis. [text from author]
