Summary / Abstract:

ENThe laureate of Nobel Prize in the field of literature - Czesław Miłosz didn't remain silent in one of the most important and difficult question of XX century - question about human. All his works make a homogenous text about this epoch, which at the same time becomes the main subject, background, hero and counter-hero. Is he assuming an anthropological aspect of postmodernism? Miłosz underlined, that he has been writing Roadside dog for a several years. In this, which is the collection of essays, poems, small philosophic treats, thoughts about life and creation, in which the subject of human is well visible. The author asks the questions about mind and consciousness, meaning of word and language in an open sense of existence, not only individual, but also cultural. Miłosz treats language as a phenomenon, which has a power to create, says that it has huge meaning in history of several nations. In this statement he is approximate to Jacques Derrida's ideas.
