Polen und Preussen vom 15. bis zum 18. Jahrhundert: Bestandsaufnahme und Perspektiven

LTLeidinys skirtas Torunės universiteto profesoriaus Janušo Maleko (Janusz Małłek) mokslinio darbo 50-mečiui. Kai kurie darbai publikuoti senokai, todėl kartais pasigendama naujesnės istoriografijos apžvalgos, juoba ne vienas naujesnis darbas į rinkinį nepateko (dėl vietos stokos ar kitų sumetimų). 2011 m. išleistoje didelės apimties knygoje penki skyriai: 1) Dvi Prūsijos dalys: Tyrimų būklė ir perspektyvos; 2) Lenkijos ir Prūsijos politika naujųjų laikų pradžioje: 3) Reformacija Lenkijoje ir Prūsijoje; 4) Kultūrinis gyvenimas Lenkijoje ir Prūsijoje VI-XVII amžiais; 5) Prūsijos visuomenė: Reformacijos ir Renesanso įtakosKnygoje pateikti 36 Janušo Maleko darbai (iš jų 3 anksčiau neskelbti), kuriuose aptariama Lenkijos ir Prūsijos karalystės Šiaurės provincijos, vadinamosios Karališkosios Prūsijos (Karališkieji Prūsai) arba Prūsijos kunigaikštystės istorija nuo XV iki XVIII amžiaus. Kiekviena tema – istoriografija, politika, religija, kultūra, visuomenė ir jos žymesnieji žmonės – aptariama kaip vientisas objektas ir net nedaloma visuma. Nusistatytos chronologinės ribos peržengiamos tik išskirtiniais atvejais, tuomet, kai to reikalauja istorinio pasakojimo logika. Prūsijos istorija ir protestantiška Janušo Maleko giminės kilmė, matyt, lėmė, kad itin daug dėmesio Maleko kūryboje skirta Reformacijos istorijai, kuri labai svarbi aiškinantis, kaip katalikiška Prūsija virto Reformacijos ramsčiu. Mokslinis darbas privalo būti vertinamas ne tik statistiniu aspektu. Tačiau susižavėjimą kelia vien faktas, kad leidžiami net keturi Janušo Maleko rinktinių darbų tomai. O ir jie tėra tik dalis to, kas per penkias dešimtis metų autoriaus nuveikta. Tad redaktoriams teko nemažai pagalvoti prieš pasirenkant tą ar kitą kūrinį.

ENThe publication is dedicated to mark the 50th anniversary of the scientific work by a professor of Toruń University Janusz Małłek. Some of his works were published a very long time ago, therefore, sometimes new reviews of the historiography are required. The book published in 2011 contains five sections: 1) Two sections on Prussia: The condition and prospects of the research; 2) The politics of Poland and Prussia at the beginning of the Modern Age: 3) The Reformation in Poland and Prussia; 4) Cultural life in Poland and Prussia in the 6th–17th c. 5) Prussian society: Influences of the Reformation and the Renaissance. The book contains 36 works by Janusz Małłek (3 of them have not been published before), which cover the history of northern provinces of Poland and the Kingdom of Prussia, and the so-called Royal Prussia (Royal Prussians) or the Duchy of Prussia from the 15th c. to the 18th c. Each topic, i.e. historiography, politics, religion, culture, public and its people, is discussed as an integral object. The set chronological limits are crossed in those cases when the logics of historical narratives requires. The history of Prussia and the Protestant origin of Janusz Małłek determined that fact that in his work this author pays a great deal of attention to the history of the Reformation, which is very important when analysing the way catholic Prussia transformed into the fundament of the Reformation. The scientific work must be evaluated not only with regard to the statistic aspect. However, only the fact that up to four volumes of collections of works by Janusz Małłek are published must be admired. These are only part of the work the author did over five decades. Therefore, the editors had to do a lot of consideration when choosing one or another work for publication.
