Algirdo Šeškaus fenomenas: pirmoji lietuvių fotografijos avangardo klasiko paroda
LTTemą publikacijai padiktavo 2010 m. LDM Nacionalinėje dailės galerijoje surengta vilniečio menininko Algirdo Šeškaus retrospektyvinė kūrybos paroda. Publikacijoje apžvelgiamas fotomenininko kūrybos kelias, savitumas, rašoma, kad šio autoriaus darbai žymi lūžinį Lietuvos fotografijos raidos etapą. Nepaisant to, iki šiol per dvidešimt nepriklausomybės metų šalyje nebuvo surengta nė vienos šio kūrėjo personalinės darbų parodos, autoriaus kūrybinis fenomenas iki šiol nebuvo tinkamai ištyrinėtas ir pažintas. Po ilgai trukusios tylos dialogą su menininku inspiravo LDM Nacionalinės dailės galerijos ekspozicijos, kurioje rodomi A. Šeškaus kaip lietuvių fotografijos avangardo pradininko kūriniai, rengimas. Metus vykusio bendradarbiavimo rezultatas - surengta darbų retrospektyvos paroda , išleistas fotografijų albumas ir autoriaus Lietuvos dailės muziejui padovanota fotografijų kolekcija: 107 autoriniai 1975-1983 m. sidabro atspaudai ir 1984 m. kartu su Alfonsu Būdvyčiu sukurtų Valstybinio rusų dramos teatro aktorių, režisierių, kompozitorių, dailininkų portretų rinkinys. LDM Nacionalinėje dailės galerijoje vykusi paroda buvo eksponuota ne pagal vaizduojamojo meno pateikimo reikalavimus, o vadovaujantis individualios kūrybinės ideologijos principais.
ENThe topic for the publication was dictated by a retrospective exhibition of Vilnius artist Algirdas Šeškus entitled Pohulianka, which was held at the National Art Gallery of the Lithuanian Art Museum (hereinafter "the LAM") in 2010. The publication provides an overview of the creative way and creative originality of the photographer, saying that his works mark a turning point in the development of Lithuanian photography. Nevertheless, not a single personal exhibition of his works has been held in the country over the 20 years of independence to date. The artist's creative phenomenon has not been properly studied so far. The results of one year of cooperation of the organisers of the exhibition are the retrospective exhibition of works, a released photo album and a collection of photographs presented by the author to the Lithuanian Art Museum. It consists of 107 silver stamps of 1975-1983 and a collection of portraits of State Russian Drama Theatre actors, directors, composers and artists created together with Alfonsas Būdvytis in 1984. The exhibition at the LAM National Art Gallery was held according to the principles of individual creative ideology rather than visual art presentation requirements. Emphasising the "amateurish" style of his works, the author did not give them names, did not indicate the exact places and dates of creation, so visitors of the exhibition could enjoy full freedom of perception and interpretation.
