Summary / Abstract:

Reikšminiai žodžiai: Dekonstrukcija; Dekonstukcija; Fenomenologija; Hierarchinės opozicijos; J. ENIn this article terms of deconstruction and the categories that are related with it have been investigated analyzing Jacques Derrida's comments of his own theoretical work. It seems to be important to emphasize the antithesis of deconstruction to all so-called classical traditions, which are explained as metaphysical, even to those, which have been continued to develop in the contemporary literary theory and philosophy, such as phenomenology and semiology. Deconstruction denies any possibility of authoritative sense that could be found in the inner level of the consciousness, the concept of center and the cult of phonetic word (logocentrism which characterizes europocentrism). It declares that it is necessary to break traditional binary oppositions because they presuppose hierarchy and deformation of all concepts. There is not constant sense in our thinking; there are only differences (Derrida uses synonymous definitions of différance and gramma, related with his wish to make writing (scripture, écriture) important area where new meanings emerge). The concept of différance is valid in the specific conditions of space and time and defines the end of clear narration, the symbolic 'death' of author and subject. Deconstruction is a kind of play: the result of it is that texts with their meanings are broken into controversial traces (results without reasons). Theory of deconstruction is closely related with modernism, postmodernism, and challenges all matter-of-course values and definitions; it can bring new creative impulses to the interpreters of literary texts.
