Baltų meninės raiškos aspektai pirmųjų krikščioniškųjų misijų metu

LTStraipsnyje nagrinėjami baltų, gyvenusių tarp Nemuno ir Dauguvos, meninės raiškos aspektai pirmųjų krikščioniškųjų misijų laikais. Neilgas chronologinis tarpsnis apima laikus nuo X a. iki XI a. vidurio. Regionas tarp Nemuno ir Dauguvos, apgyventas įvairių baltų genčių, kultūriškai buvo labai įvairialypis. Baltų zoomorfinis stilius, kurio ištakos siekia tautų kraustymosi laikus, buvo vienas įvairialypę kultūrinę erdvę vienijančių ženklų. Šio laikotarpio pabaigoje ir kiek vėliau regiono materialiojoje kultūroje pasirodo pirmųjų christianizacijos ženklų.

ENThe article analyses aspects of artistic expression of the Baits who resided between the rivers of Nemunas and Daugava in the period of the first Christian missions. It is not a lengthy chronological period from the 10th to the mid-11th century. The region between the two rivers was populated by a variety of Baltic tribes and represented a great cultural diversity. The Baltic zoomorphic style, which reaches back to the Migration period, functioned as one of the signs unifying the highly heterogeneous cultural space. By the end of the period and subsequently material culture of the region started displaying its first signs of Christianization. With regard to proximity of Christianity, Lithuania and the region under discussion did not differ from the general trends in the Baltic Sea region (and Europe in general) where the first to be influenced by Christianity were women and children.
