ENThe article deals with a new trend of history approach developed in the Soviet historiography during the 7-8 decades which involves information analysis of mass sources as well as the usage of ESM and mathematical methods in history events and processes simulating. J. Kovalcenka, L. Milov and their followers initiated the main research field - social economy. The scientists emphasize the importance of classification, typology and history's structures research they use also correlation-regression, time serious, factor and cluster analysis and other methods of mathematical statistics. The results achieved gave the researchers a possibility to get a new insight in the same historiographical problem. For exampIe, time and territorial parameters were extended, thus enabled the researchers mentioned to simulate agrarian process of the whole Russia's market formation; to classify statistically defined data group and their characteristics of European Russia's provinces during the second half of the 19lh and the beginning of the 20th century; to estimate both general typological and economical situation of the mentioned provinces, however, the interpretation of the results achieved did not exceeded the limits of official methodology.
