Visuomenės ir gatvės prostitučių požiūris į prostitucijos legalizavimą ir jo pasekmes

LTStraipsnyje, remiantis atlikto tyrimo duomenimis, nagrinėjamos įvairių socialinių grupių (pedagogų, jaunimo (studentų), pensininkų, bedarbių, policijos pareigūnų) požiūris į prostitucijos legalizavimą ir jo pasekmes. Atskleidžiami minėtų grupių pateikiami argumentai ir fobijos. Taip pat analizuojamas profesionalių ir neprofesionalių gatvės prostitučių požiūris į prostituciją ir jų laikyseną ją legalizavus. Parodoma, kad atskirų socialinių grupių požiūriui į prostitucijos legalizavimą ir jos pasekmes įtakos turi, viena vertus, asmeninė patirtis, santykis su prostitutėmis, žinojimas jų veiklos ir gyvensenos ypatumų, kita vertus, egzistuojančios viešoje erdvėje fobijos, kurias formuoja žiniasklaida. Gatvės prostitučių nuostatas prostitucijos legalizavimo atžvilgiu lemia siekis turėti aiškesnį socialinį statusą, didesnį saugumą ir socialines garantijas. ENOn the basis of the data of the carried out research in Vilnius city, the article analyzes the attitude of various social groups (pedagogues, youth (students), police officers, unemployed, pensioners) towards the legalization of prostitution. The attitude of professional and unprofessional street prostitutes towards the legalization of prostitution and their behaviors after the legalization is analyzed in the article as well. The main supporters of the legalization of prostitution appeared to be youth (students) and police officers. The main opponents are pedagogues and pensioners. Even though all the social groups see the same obstacles for legalization - the existing moral norms in the society and the position of the Catholic Church, they impose different roles on them. The pensioners highlight it the most and students – the least. In opinion of the police officers and the youth, the imperfect laws and the undecided state are much bigger obstacles. The anticipated positive result of the legalized prostitution – larger safety of individual and society – is mostly supported by the police officers, who has to take care about the activity of the street prostitutes and are aware of the threat of that activity, while the pensioners support it the least.The legalization of prostitution is more supported by the professional street prostitutes, who relate it to the clearer definition of their situation and legalization of the status, rather than the unprofessional ones. Nevertheless, about two thirds of the unprofessional street prostitutes would continue their activity even after the legalization. On the one hand, it shows that working in the street eventually becomes a habit or a lifestyle, which is difficult to change; on the other hand, it appears that reasons for prostitution existence are much deeper than economical, social or legal.
