Oblicze polityczne guberni suwalskiej w zasobach Litewskiego Państwowego Archiwum Historycznego w Wilnie

LTLietuvos archyvuose išliko santykinai daug įvairios tematikos dokumentų Lenkijos šiaurės rytų teritorijų istorijai XIX a. pab. – XX a. pr. analizuoti. Suvalkų gubernijos minėto laikotarpio dokumentų daugiausia LVIA Vilniuje. Su dabartinės Lenkijos teritorijos raida susijusių dokumentų yra daugiau kaip 50-tyje fondų, jų skaičius – apie 38 tūkst. saugojimo vienetų. Skirstant į temines grupes (bendrasis administravimas, specialusis administravimas, teisinė sistema, finansiniai institutai, metrikacijos dokumentai, civilinė teisė, bendrovės) būtina pažymėti, kad skaičiuojant saugojimo vienetais vyrauja viešosios administracijos dokumentai, mažiau specialiosios administracijos medžiagos. Tarp likusių grupių išsiskiria metrikų dokumentai ir civiliniai aktai. Visi fondai turi aprašus, medžiaga daugumoje atvejų sutvarkyta ir vartotojams prieinama. Katalogai ir aprašai parengti rusų kalba. Tačiau detalesnis archyvinių bylų užsakymas itin sudėtingas ir daug pastangų pareikalaujantis dalykas. Itin įdomūs ir turiningi, ieškant socialinę, kultūrinę, ūkinę bei švietimo raidą apibūdinančios medžiagos, yra: 1) Suvalkų, Augustavo ir Seinų žandarų valdybų; 2) Suvalkų policijos valdybos; 3) Suvalkų gubernijos žandarų valdybos; 4) Suvalkų gubernatoriaus kanceliarijos; 5) Augustavo gubernatoriaus kanceliarijos fondai. ENLithuanian archives offer relatively vast documents for the analysis of the history of the North East territory of Poland of the end of the 19th–beginning of the 20th. c. The majority of the documents of the Suwałki Governorate of the mentioned period are stored at the Office of the Chief Archivist of Lithuania in Vilnius. Documents related to the development of the contemporary territory of Poland are stored in more than 50 archives. When grouping these documents according to their topics (general administration, special administration, legal system, financial institutes, metrical documents, civil law, enterprises), it is necessary to note that documents on public administration prevail. These are followed by the material on special administration. Metrical and civil documents prevail among the remaining groups. All the archives have descriptions, and in the majority of cases, the material is available for the reader. The catalogues and descriptions are provided in the Russian language. However, it is more complicated to order more detailed files. The following archives contain very interesting and vast material on social, cultural, economic and education development: 1) Boards of Suwalki, Augustów and Sejny Gendarme Councils; 2) Board of Suwałki Police; 3) Board of the Suwałki Governorate Council; 4) Office of the Suwałki Governor; 5) Office of the Augustów Governor. Material on the Suwałki Governorate can be obtained in other Lithuanian archives.
