Endriejavo apylinkių vestuvių papročiai

LTStraipsnyje, remiantis autorės 2004 m. „Versmės“ ekspedicijos metu surinkta medžiaga, kurios metu buvo apklausta vienuolika XX a. I pusėje gimusių pateikėjų, kalbama apie Endriejavo (Klaipėdos rajonas) apylinkių vestuvių papročius ir jų kaitą XX amžiuje. Pastebima, kad vestuvių papročiuose per šimtmetį įvyko įvairių didelių pasikeitimų (tiek apeigose naudojamų papuošimų, transporto, tiek šventės organizavimo, tiek kitose srityse). Nepaisant to, autorė tikisi, kad svarbiausi, labiausiai emociškai jaudinantys vestuvių elementai neišnyks, o gyvuos ir toliau: juk vestuvės yra vienas svarbiausių žmogaus gyvenimo virsmų. Straipsnyje pristatoma vestuvių ceremonijų seka pateikiama taip, kaip kad ji įprastai pateikiama etnografų kalbant apie įvairių Lietuvos regionų vestuves, tik prisodrinta Endriejavo apylinkėse aptiktų vestuvinių apeigų reliktų. Atskirai aptariamas būsimų jaunavedžių susipažinimas ir piršlybos, užsakai ir metrikacija, pintuvės, parėdkas (t.y. jaunųjų palyda), sutuoktuvės, vaišės ir linksmybės, kraitis. Paskui apibūdinami vėlyvesni XX a. vestuvių papročiai: Gargždų civilinės metrikacijos skyrius, sutuoktuvės, dalyviai, simboliai ir atributika. Lauko tyrimų metu surinktą medžiagą papildo publikacijoje panaudojama atitinkama medžiaga iš anksčiau kitų autorių sukauptų etnografinių rinkinių. Visa publikacija iliustruojama atitinkamo laikotarpio Endriejavo apylinkėse vykusių vestuvių nuotraukomis.

ENWith reference to the data that was collected by the author during an expedition “Versmės” in 2004 during which eleven respondents who were born in the 1st half of the 20th c. were interviewed, the article describes the wedding customs in Endriejavas area (Klaipėda district) and their change in the 20th c. It is noticed that there were many huge changes in the customs of wedding during a century (in spheres of decorations, transport, organisation and etc). However, the author expects that the most important and emotional elements of the wedding will not disappear and will remain: wedding is one of the most important events in a human's life. In the article, the order of a wedding ceremony is described in the way as it is usually described by ethnographers who describe the wedding of various Lithuanian regions; however, it is supplemented with relics that are characteristic of Endriejavas area. The introduction and matchmaking of the future young married, banns and registration, the wedding eve, bridesmaids and braidsmen, the wedding, food, merrymaking, and dowry are described separately. After that, the wedding customs of the 20th c. are described: the Gargždai department of civil registry, the wedding, participants, symbols and attributes. The data of the research is supplemented by the material used in the publication that is taken from ethnographic collections of other authors. The publication is illustrated with photographs of the wedding that took place in Endriejavas area at that time.
