Litauen und die baltischen kulturen auf dem internationalen translationsmarkt: versuch einer übersetzungsgeographischen bestandsaufnahme

LTStraipsnio pradžioje pateikiama keletas pagrindinių prielaidų apie vertimų geografijos tyrimus, ypač kiekybines vertimų įvežimo ir išvežimo studijas (ši apytaka įkūnija svarbų tarptautinių kultūrinių kontaktų aspektą). Bendrosios tendencijos lyginamos su kitais sociokultūriniais, demografiniais ir ekonominiais veiksniais. Toliau detaliai aptariama Lietuvos ir kitų Baltijos šalių kultūrų vieta labai hierarchiškai organizuotoje tarptautinėje vertimų sistemoje (heilbron), drauge pabrėžiant sparčius pokyčius, kuriuos šie etnokalbiniai kolektyvai išgyveno atkūrus valstybių nepriklausomybę (tai padeda išskirti ypatingus šių kultūrų vaidmens vertimų turguje bruožus).

ENOur paper first presents some general findings about translation geography, i.e. the quantitative study of the exports (extraductions) and imports (introductions) of translations, a major aspect of international cultural exchanges. the general tendencies hereby brought to light are related to other socio-cultural, demographic, and economic parameters. subsequently, we discuss in some detail the place Lithuania and the Baltic cultures hold within the highly hierarchically organized "system of translation" (heilbron), highlighting the rapid changes these ethno-linguistic entities underwent after the restoration of independence. this also helps to outline the peculiarities of the Baltic translation market.
