Sąjūdis Jurbarke (1988 m. rugsėjis - 1990 m. kovas)

LT1988 m. rugsėjį Jurbarke įsteigta Sąjūdžio iniciatyvinė grupė plėtėsi ir greitai apėmė visą rajoną. 1990 m. vasarį vykusiuose rinkimuose į Aukščiausiąją Tarybą (AT) Jurbarke laimėjo Sąjūdžio remiamas kandidatas, o po mėnesio analogiškuose rinkimuose į vietos valdžios savivaldą Sąjūdžio atstovai patyrė nesėkmę. Straipsnio tikslas – remiantis to meto rajonine spauda pristatyti Sąjūdžio veiklą Jurbarke, išryškinti sąjūdininkų santykius su Lietuvos komunistų partijos vietos vadovybe, atskleisti Jurbarko Sąjūdžio ir jo remiamų kandidatų dalyvavimą rinkimuose į AT ir vietinę savivaldą, aptarti sėkmės ar nesėkmės priežastis. Tyrimo chronologinės ribos sąlyginės: pradžia – 1988 m. rugsėjis – siejama su Lietuvos Persitvarkymo Sąjūdžio iniciatyvinės grupės įkūrimu Jurbarke, o pabaiga – su 1990 m. kovo pabaigoje Jurbarke vykusiais rinkimais į vietos savivaldą. Rengiant straipsnį nepavyko pasinaudoti svarbiausiais dokumentais – Jurbarko Sąjūdžio tarybos protokolais, duoti interviu atsisakė buvę vietos Sąjūdžio lyderiai. Neturint galimybės pasinaudoti minėtais šaltiniais, Sąjūdžio veiklą Jurbarke straipsnyje teko nušviesti remiantis to laikotarpio rajonine spauda. Daugiausia remtasi vietos valdžios laikraščiu „Šviesa“, pasinaudota rajono Sąjūdžio valdybos leistais leidiniais „Jurbarkiečių balsas“ ir „Jurbarkietis“ bei nepriklausomu laikraščiu „Mūsų mintys“, kurį pagal bendradarbiavusius autorius ir publikacijų turinį galima priskirti vietos Sąjūdžio vadovybei.

ENThe Steering Group of the Reform Movement of Lithuania established in Jurbarkas in September 1988 was expanding rapidly across the whole region. A candidate supported by the Reform Movement was elected to the Supreme Council during the elections, which took place in February 1990, and a month later, representatives of the Reform Movement were not elected to the local authorities in the analogical elections. The aim of the article is, based on the then regional press, to present activities of the Reform Movement in Jurbarkas, highlight the relations of the movement participants with the local heads of the Lithuanian Communist Party, to reveal the participation of the Reform Movement of Jurbarkas and its candidates in the elections to the Supreme Court and local authorities, to discusses the reasons of success and failure. The chronological frames of the research are relative: the beginning, i.e. September 1988, is related to the establishment of the Steering Group of the Reform Movement in Jurbarkas, and the end – March 1990 is the date of the election to the local self-governance of Jurbarkas. When writing the article, the author did not succeed to use the main documents, i.e. minutes of the Council of Jurbarkas Movement and former leaders of the local movement refused to give an interview. Having no possibilities for using the above sources, activities of the reform Movement in Jurbarkas were described based on the then regional press. The major share of information originated from newspapers “Šviesa”, publications “Jurbarkiečių balsas” by the board of regional Reform Movement and the independent newspaper “Mūsų mintys”, which, according to the cooperating authors and the content of publications, could be regarded as a newspaper of the board of the local Reform Movement.
