Miltinio tradicijos tąsos pastanga, kuri ir stimuliavo sceninę Panevėžio dramos teatro raidą, ir drumstė natūralią jos plėtotę. Aptariamas J. Miltinio asmenybės fenomenalumas.

ENThe article concerns the problematic of Drama Theatre in Panevėžys after its main and the only director Juozas Miltinis had left it. It reveals the power of this extraordinary personality to have influence on the stage life forms even beyond the possibilities of direct influence. "Post-miltinian" Drama Theatre in Panevėžys, left without the director in 1980, but still full of ambitions to sustain the "miltinian" trend of modern and intellectual stage, had got into dramatic situation of inadequacy of pretentious aspirations and poor possibilities, that meant its sudden fall from rank of the most famous Lithuanian theater to typical provincial one. It was partly solved owing to the performances of intellectual director Saulius Varnas, a pupil of J. Miltinis, only in the very end of the 9th decade. However, the previous stability has been already lost. Drama Theatre in Panevėžys got the title of Juozas Miltinis' theatre in 1995, but its further history proved its incapacity to recover the "miltinian" art power as well as the fame of J. Miltinis' times.
