Kelionių aprašymai XVI-XVIII a. leidiniuose iš LNB fondų
LTKeliauti buvo madinga ir senovėje, o išradus spaudą daugelis keliautojų skelbė savo kelionių aprašymus, kurių nemažai turima Lietuvos nacionalinėje bibliotekoje (LNB). Turinio chronologijos atžvilgiu seniausias yra Ispanijos žydų rabino Benjamino Tudeliečio XII a. kelionės į Palestiną aprašymas, išleistas Elzevyrų spaustuvėje 1633 m. Atsiradus spaudai, pirmieji aprašymai buvo piligriminių kelionių į Šventąją žemę. LNB šį žanrą reprezentuoja Mikalojaus Kristupo Radvilos Našlaitėlio (1549-1616) Kelionė į Jeruzalę (Hierosolymitana peregrinatio), išspausdinta Georgo Schönfelso Braneve 1601 m. in folio formatu. XVI, XVII amžiuje piligrimines keliones pakeičia kitos - diplomatinio, vėliau mokslinio pobūdžio. Pažymėtinas prancūzų keliautojo, pranciškono André Thevet (1502-1590) kelionės į Artimuosius Rytus 1549-1554 m. aprašymas, paskelbtas knygoje Cosmographie de Levant (1554). LNB išliko antroji, papildyta šio kūrinio laida (1556), papuošta gražiais medžio raižiniais. XVIII amžiuje kelionių aprašymai buvo labai paplitę ir skaitomi kaip romanai. Pradeda leisti ištisus daugiatomius rinkinius. Didžiausias tokio pobūdžio rinkinys, išlikęs LNB, yra 32 tomų Abrege de l'histoire générale des voyages, išleistas prancūzų rašytojo Jean'o François de La Harpe'o (1739-1803) Paryžiuje 1780-1801 m. in octavo formatu ir papuoštas Bernardo Direxit graviūromis. Straipsnyje pateikta ir daugiau Rytų šalių (Levanto) aprašymų, geografinių, diplomatinių kelionių įspūdžių it kt. Aptariamas aprašymų pobūdis, pažymimos turimų egzempliorių proveniencijos, pateikiama charakteringų iliustracijų.
ENTravelling was fashionable in old times as well. When press was invented, many travellers published their narrations of travels, and quite a number of those are kept in National Library of Lithuania (NLL). In terms of content chronology, the oldest is the description of the travel to Palestine of the rabbi of Spanish Jews Benjamin of Tudela in the 12th century, published in 1633 by the Elzevir House. When press appeared, the first narrations were those of the pilgrim trips to the Holy Land. At the NLL, this genre is represented by represents this genre by “Hierosolymitana peregrinatio” of Mikołaj Krzysztof Radziwiłł (Sierotka) (1549–1616) published in folio format by George Schönfels in Braniewo in 1601. In the 16th and 17th century, the pilgrim trips were replaced by those of diplomatic, and eventually – of scientific nature. Noteworthy is the narration of the journey to the Near East of the French traveller, Franciscan André Thevet (1502–1590), which had taken place in 1549–1554, published in the book “Cosmographie de Levant” (1554). The NLL has preserved the second, supplemented, edition of this publication (1556), decorated with beautiful wood carvings. In the 18th century, descriptions of travels were very popular and read as novels. Publication of the collections of volumes started. The largest collection of this kind preserved at the NLL is “Abrege de l'histoire générale des voyages” of 32 volumes, published by the French writer Jean François de La Harpe (1739–1803) in Paris in 1780–1801 in octavo format and adorned with the engravings of Bernard Direxit. The article also contains more descriptions of the Eastern countries (Levant), impressions from geographical and diplomatic travels etc. The character of narrations is discussed, provenances of the copies in possession are noted and characteristic illustrations are provided.
