ENJudita Vaičiūnaitė's poetry is attributed by researchers to a narrative type. In the analysis of such a poem, the epic features provide the text with the concreteness of time and space; however, they lead to the lyrical subject, but not to the story of external world. Basing on this aspect, the two poems by Vaičiūnaitė written in the early and late periods of her creation have been analysed in this article. The poems are linked by the motif of spring, as well as by the urban and cultural images. These images together with the semantics of colour and time help to recognise Vaičiūnaitė's poetics and its individuality.
